School Bus Crash In Bridgeport Injures 13: Police

The two-vehicle crash occurred Thursday morning, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Ten children were injured Thursday morning in a crash between a school bus and a sedan in Bridgeport, according to police.

Eight children were on the bus, and two were in the sedan. Additionally, two adults on the bus were also injured, as was the driver of the sedan, according to police.

"The extent of injuries was unknown at the time, but all patients were transported to Bridgeport Hospital," said Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer.

The crash occurred at about 9 a.m. at the intersection of East Main and Arctic streets. News 12 Connecticut posted video of the crash.

Additional information was not immediately available, but the police investigation into the crash is continuing.
