Suspect Arraigned In Killing Of Delivery Driver In Bridgeport: Report
Jiabin Lin, 36, was shot multiple times and killed Saturday while delivering food on Boston Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The 17-year-old Bridgeport suspect in the shooting death of a Chinese food delivery driver remains in custody on bail of $3 million, following his arraignment in Bridgeport Superior Court on Tuesday.
Justin Castro, reportedly a student at Fairfield Wheeler Interdistrict Multi-Magnet High School, was arrested following the Saturday night incident, in which police said he shot and killed Jiabin Lin, 36, on Boston Avenue in Bridgeport.
Castro is being tried as an adult, and was charged with murder, first-degree criminal attempt-robbery, and murder in commission of a felony.

The Connecticut Post writes that Castro's mother, Tonge Clemons, collapsed in tears on the floor of the courtroom during her son's arraignment, while Castro showed no emotion.
Castro is accused of shooting Lin in the back several times, and in addition to the charges listed above, Castro is also charged with interfering with a police officer, assault on a police officer, and carrying a pistol without a permit.

He is being represented by attorney John Smriga, who reportedly did not comment after leaving the arraignment. Smriga had argued unsuccessfully for a reduction in bail.
Castro's next court date was not immediately available; the investigation remains active.
