The suspect, who had a court appearance Tuesday, reportedly told police that she had been getting her nails done.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 28-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested by Bridgeport police last month after authorities said she left her two unconscious children in a hot car while she was getting her nails done.
Tiffany Covington, of Eagle Street, was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Tuesday in connection with her June 18 arrest on charges of risk of injury to a child (2 counts), assault on a public safety officer, and interfering with an officer.
Superior Court Judge William Holden continued Covington's case to Aug. 25 to allow her time to hire an attorney, reported the Connecticut Post.
