We provide forever homes for horses in need while offering hands-on programs that build confidence, responsibility, and connection for children, teens, and adults in our community. Whether you're looking for riding lessons, a meaningful youth program, or a fun summer experience for your child, we invite you to come meet the herd. Programs for Avon &amp; Farmington Valley Families: • Horseback Riding Lessons — Year-round lessons for children, teens, and adults in a calm, supportive, low-pressure environment • Summer Camp for Kids — Outdoor fun, friendship, and learning with horses right here in Avon • Teens to the Rescue — A structured volunteer and learning program for teens who love animals and want to gain responsibility and real-life skills Next session begins April 30th, with sessions continuing throughout the year • After-School &amp; Youth Programs — Hands-on horse care, teamwork, and confidence-building activities • Adult Horsemanship Programs — Learn about horses, barn life, and horsemanship at any age — no experience needed • Programs for Seniors &amp; Community Members — Stay active, connected, and engaged through meaningful time with our gentle rescued horses • Volunteer Opportunities — Make a difference while becoming part of a welcoming local community At US Horse Welfare &amp; Rescue, our horses serve as teachers, partners, and companions — helping people of all ages grow, learn, and feel connected.
