31 Fired For Non-Compliance With Lamont's COVID-19 Vaccine Order
State officials released new details, data on who was fired or placed on unpaid leave over refusal to comply with Lamont's vaccine mandate.
CONNECTICUT — As of Monday, 31 workers in the Executive Branch of state government have been fired due to their non-compliance with Gov. Ned Lamont's COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
As of Monday, 95 percent of executive branch state employees are either fully vaccinated or current in their weekly testing. The overall vaccination rate among the executive branch is 84 percent, an increase from the most recent update on Oct. 22 when it was 80.8 percent. A total of 11 percent have been receiving weekly testing.
In addition to the 31 terminations, 35 Executive Branch employees have been placed on unpaid leave; 42 are in process of being put on unpaid leave due to refusal to comply; and the remaining employees among the 5 percent not in compliance are late submitting their weekly test results but are working to comply with the requirements.

The judicial and legislative branches have each implemented vaccination and testing requirements among their employees, similar to the one implemented in the Executive Branch. Each branch of state government has been monitoring compliance and collecting data for those employees within their respective branches.
