4th Case of Coronavirus In Brookfield High School Community

Brookfield High School is now in remote learning, in large part due to the staffing problems presented by the coronavirus pandemic.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A fourth member of the Brookfield High School community has tested positive for the coronavirus, Superintendent John Barile wrote in an email to families on Tuesday.
The last day the affected person was at the BHS was Friday.

"While Brookfield High School is now in remote learning, in large part due to the inability to adequately staff the building, it is also becoming increasingly difficult to adequately staff our K-8 schools due to the constraints of the CDC 14-day quarantine protocols," Barile wrote.

The newly quarantined member of the BHS community joins community members of Whisconier Middle School, Huckleberry Hill School, Center School and Brookfield High School announced last week and earlier this week.
