Brookfield Board of Education to Form Security Task Force

It's an action in response to last week's Brookfield High threatening social media post.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Board of Education voted unanimously Wednesday to engage Brookfield community members in a task force to discuss school security issues. The 7-member task force will take the form of a board sub-committee, and consist of two board members, the superintendent, an administrator, someone from the police department and residents.

The formation of the task force, initially floated after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February, got jump-started following the threatening social media post made last week by a Brookfield High School student.
