Brookfield Public Schools On 2-Hour Delay

BROOKFIELD, CT — Public schools in Brookfield are on a 3-hour delay Thursday.

The delay is due to road flooding, debris and rerouting bus runs, following a massive rainfall as the Northeast got soaked by the remnants of Hurricane Ida on Wednesday.

Eversource is reporting that 196 Brookfield residences or homes are without power as of Thursday morning.

Several flood warnings are in effect in Connecticut as numerous roads remain closed.
