Brookfield Schools Reject Ex-Superintendent's Claim of Wrongful Termination
Former Superintendent of Brookfield Public Schools Anthony Bivona filed a seven-page long civil complaint.

The Brookfield Public School district formally rejected former superintendent of schools Anthony Bivona’s claim that he was improperly fired, according to The News Times.
Bivona was suspended with pay last May after an audit showed the district was using questionable accounting practices in their annual budgets. The budget was reportedly overspent by more than $1 million dollars.
The termination came after a three hour hearing where six members of the Board of Education voted unanimously to terminate Bivona’s contract. The termination ended his seven year long career with Brookfield Public Schools.
Bivona’s defense was based upon blaming the former business manager, Art Colley, for improper accounting and financial management practices he did not disclose. Colley and his assistant Elizabeth Kerekes are both facing larceny and fraud charges.
