Brookfield's Controller Resigns
It is the latest in a series of personnel shake-ups to jostle the town's finance department.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield Controller Kimberly Siegrist resigned on Monday, the News Times is reporting.
The move comes less than two months after the last wave of turbulence in the town's Finance Department, when two of Siegrist's employees quit, alleging she had created a "toxic" work environment.
Siegrist took over from former town controller Bill Leverence whose tenure was marred by numerous allegations of major accounting errors and poor record keeping.
