Latest Brookfield Coronavirus Updates: 73 Active Cases

Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Brookfield.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The State Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 73 cases of the new coronavirus in the Town, as of Saturday afternoon, up from 72 reported Friday.

Connecticut had another 362 laboratory confirmed coronavirus cases reported Saturday along with 33 more deaths. The state also had 124 additional hospitalizations, which brings the total to 1,033.

The state has had a total of 5,276 confirmed cases and 165 deaths. There have been more than 22,000 coronavirus tests administered.

Gov. Ned Lamont said that Fairfield County is expected to see cases peak in the next two to three weeks followed by New Haven County about two weeks later. Hartford County's surge is expected in mid to late May followed by eastern Connecticut.
