• Dolly Parton-Themed Corn Maze Coming To Brookfield (patch.com) — Brookfield families can explore a five-acre Dolly Parton-themed corn maze at Twins BBQ Co. on Federal Road this fall, featuring both short and long routes. Opening Sept. 5, the attraction offers Dolly trivia games, photo ops, storytelling, music, and other farm activities, while donating a portion of proceeds to support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for local children.

• Bethel, Brookfield Schools Receive Special Education Grant (patch.com) — Brookfield schools are set to receive part of a $500,000 state grant, shared with Bethel, to upgrade special education facilities and services and keep more students learning in-district. The money, from Connecticut's new High-Quality Special Education Incentive Grant Program, can fund renovations, equipment, transportation, and other infrastructure that supports students with disabilities in their home communities.
