Woman Expelled from Brookfield GOP Appeals Decision
The resident claims that her constitutional rights were violated in the decision.

A Brookfield resident who was expelled from the local GOP party is appealing the decision, the News Times reports.
According to the paper, Jane Mille is claiming that her constitutional rights were violated. The decision to expel Miller was made by Republican Registrar of Voters Tom Dunkerton and Republican Town Committee Chairman Matt Grimes.

She was expelled from the party for “lack of good faith party-affiliation.”
Miller appeared at a hearing on Tuesday that was closed to the public, the paper reports. The hearing was only attended by legal counsel for both sides and while each side made a settlement offer, neither was accepted.

Arguments for both sides will be heard by a judge on July 27.
