Zoners Move to Limit Medical Marijuana Dispensaries
They can only do business in the industrial district, among other regulations.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Zoning Commission has ruled to regulate any medical marijuana dispensaries intending to open in Brookfield. All facilities will be limited to selling marijuana only to those with a prescription, doing business only in the industrial district, and not operating within 7,000 feet of another dispensary.
The underlying geometry of those last two restrictions means there will never be very many marijuana dispensaries in Brookfield, given the size of the industrial district. Dispensaries also may not operate within 1,000 feet of schools or places of worship.
Better Healing, LLC announced in 2015 that they were planning on opening a medical marijuana dispensary in Brookfield, but that plan as yet has not came to fruition. The proposed location of the firm's dispensary was not disclosed.
