• Wartime Service Medals given to local veterans (newbritainherald.com) — Burlington veterans were among about 25 local service members honored with Connecticut Wartime Service Medals at a ceremony in Bristol. Hosted by the Veterans Strong Community Center and the state Department of Veterans Affairs, the event brought together state and local leaders to publicly thank area veterans for their service and sacrifice.
