Although the economy shows signs of recovery, many unemployed and underemployed workers are still looking for work. This February, award-winning career development consultant Linda Kobylarz presents two programs to shine a “spotlight” on two important aspects of adult employment.
If you are looking for a job or worried about a lay off, it's time to take stock of your skills. On February 9, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the Canton Public Library will hold a “Spotlight on Skills.” Linda Kobylarz will show you how to take a fresh look at your skills, connect them to jobs in today's tight economy, and figure out what skills you need for targeted jobs.
Then on February 23, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, join Linda again for “Job Search 101.” Learn tips and strategies for making the most of your job search efforts. Explore useful Internet websites, check out how to maximize your network and tap into the “hidden” job market, and see how to keep on top of employment and industry trends that translate into jobs.
