FOUNDATION GRANT HELPS SAVE LIVES
CANTON – The Canton Education Foundation has awarded FAVARH a $2,600 grant in support of two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and for the training associated with using the units. The AEDs are portable electronic device that are used when a person develops an abnormal heart arrhythmia. When administered, the units transmit electrical therapy to the person which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.
The grant is made possible through the Foundation’s annual grant-making program and the generosity of the Collinsville Savings Society.
