The survey is anonymous and open to all Canton residents.

Responses will be accepted until Thursday, Feb. 12, allowing residents to contribute their perspectives on these significant town investments.

Canton is evaluating this approach to tackle increasing safety risks, rising maintenance costs, and declining reliability as current facilities age.

The Vision 2050 bonding package would fund approximately $9.9 million in total infrastructure investments.

These improvements are intended to be bonded over time to manage costs responsibly.

The goal is to address urgent needs before further deterioration leads to increased long-term expenses for the town.

According to the town, spreading these investments over time would help maintain a healthy debt ratio.

The package aims to deliver modern, safe, and high-quality public amenities benefiting current and future residents.

The Town stated that the value to the community includes long-term stability, an improved daily quality of life, safer infrastructure, enhanced recreational and educational facilities, and protection of property values through well-maintained town assets.

Specific long-term investments proposed under Vision 2050 include improvements at Mills Pond Park.

These would cover pool replacement, tennis and basketball court reconstruction, and a new roof structure for the tennis courts.

The package also includes funds for road construction and maintenance throughout Canton. Additionally, the plan addresses a roof replacement for Canton Intermediate School (CIS).
