Fireworks Tent in Canton Open Through July 4
Fountain devices offer a little fun for the holiday, chance for residents to make a few dollars.
If you're looking to add a little flair to your July 4 holiday, the fireworks tent in the parking lot of may be just the ticket.
Operating under the name ACME, numerous fountain-type fireworks are offered, starting at less than a dollar and going up to $200 for the largest value pack.
Most of the colorful offerings are in the 5- to 9-foot range and last for 2 to 3 minutes, said Canton resident Dave Evens, who with about 4 others, is running the tent through the evening of July 4.

A southern company that allows residents to sell on a consignment basis owns the fireworks.
"We're making a few pennies, having a little fun and letting people know you can still have fun with them," Evens said.

Evens said all those involved live or work in Canton. He is a manager at Bertucci's in Avon and is on vacation this week. This is the first year he and the others have tried the venture. He said he may do it again if all goes well.
The tent store is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and until 8 p.m. July 4. Cash and credit cards are accepted. The tent is located in the lot at 220 Albany Turnpike, on the side of the indoor golf center building (former IGA) near Dowd Avenue.
