Cheshire Cruises Past Hamden in Legion State Tournament
The teams will meet again on Thursday with a chance to advance to the semifinals on the line.

The Cheshire American Legion baseball team came out swinging against Hamden on Wednesday, taking an early 4-0 lead and cruising to a 13-2 victory in the first game of the state tournament at Cheshire High.
The teams will meet again Thursday in the second game of the best-of-three series to determine who will advance to the semifinals at Palmer Field in Middletown.
Cheshire coach Bill Robertson told Henry Chisholm of GameTimeCT.com that his team has to stay the course if it wants to successfully defend its state title.
