The man was arrested in February for alleged incidents that occurred more than 40 years ago in Virginia.

Former Cheshire rabbi Eric Silver, 72, will be back in a Virginia court this week as part of the ongoing case in which he is charged with taking part in sexually-related activity with a minor more than 40 years ago in Norfolk, Virginia, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports that Silver is scheduled to appear in Norfolk Circuit Court on Wednesday, April 1 in a “to be set” hearing, which is routine and used to determine the next step in the process.
Silver, who served as rabbi of Temple Beth David in Cheshire for 20 years before retiring in 2010, was arrested Feb. 23 at his Willow Brook Drive home.
