Boater Who Washed Ashore in Clinton Located
The search for the missing man continued for most of the morning.

The man who ran away after washing ashore in Clinton has been located.
Clinton Police announced in a statement that the man, William Brandon McCreery, 33, of Raleigh N.C. was located at around 11 a.m. in the area of 9 Groveway in Clinton.
McCreery had been out boating with another man, Angel Hernandez, 33, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. According to police, the two men took an inflatable raft on Wednesday afternoon in the waters near Green Port, L.I., when their paddle broke and they started drifting.

The two men washed ashore and made their way to the home of a Clinton resident seeking help at 3:51 a.m., police said. Police officers and EMS personnel were dispatched to the residence and McCreery ran away from the home on foot prior to police arrival. Hernandez was treated for possible hypothermia and transported to Middlesex Shoreline Clinic for an evaluation.
Clinton Police searched for McCreery along with K9 assistance and troopers from the Connecticut State police for most of the morning.
