11 Danbury Residents Displaced Following House Fire: FD

DANBURY, CT — Danbury firefighters tackled an attic fire at a residence on Montgomery Street, Wednesday morning.
The crews noticed the blaze and fired off the first alarm while they were performing apparatus checks at headquarters.
First responders found numerous occupants still in the home, prompting a second alarm, according to fire officials posting on social media. The occupants were escorted out of the building while crews began their search of the residence, which turned up several pets but no additional people.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in less than 30 minutes. No injuries were reported, but 11 residents were displaced, according to fire officials.
The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the blaze.
