Indulge your senses at the second annual IHS “Arts in the Park” on Thursday, May 18 from 6-8pm at Immaculate High School. The school’s gym is transformed into a park-like environment and playable mini-golf course which is complemented by 1,000 pieces of artwork, live music, food and more. “Arts in the Park” is created and sponsored by the IHS Fine Arts Department as a promotional showcase of student talents while providing some fun for all ages.
All of the artwork is student-created. Student musicians and singers will perform live during the Arts in the Park event. Guests will view various types and styles of art while listening to popular melodies or putting through the student-designed mini-golf course featuring a mountain range, a volcano, a medieval castle and shark's mouth.
Admission is free. Food will be for sale, including a lemonade stand to support Catherine's Cups of Kindness Program in support of the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary located in Newtown, CT.
