WCSU Institute for Holistic Health Studies to host Wellness Wednesday Workshop on medicinal benefits of tea

DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Institute for Holistic Health Studies (IHHS) will host its next Wellness Wednesday Workshop on the medicinal benefits of tea at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, in Room 127 of White Hall on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The public is invited to this free workshop.
Guest speakers will include naturopathic physicians Drs. Andrew Cummins and Mara Davidson who will discuss how teas can not only taste good, but be beneficial for the immune system, calm the nerves, detoxify the body and more. The presentation also will discuss the science behind teas and how functional lab testing has assessed the viable benefits of teas.
IHHS Director Christel Autuori said of the event, “It has been said that Mother Nature gives us everything we need for our health and wellbeing, from sunshine and clean water to plants, herbs and teas. Many people are looking to use natural products first before treating with pharmaceuticals, and teas have many benefits to help restore and maintain health and vitality.”
