Arrest of Danbury Man Leads to Seizure of Large Quantity of Marijuana, Handgun: Report

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man was arrested on drug and weapons charges after an investigation into complaints of his alleged drug sales in the city, reports the News Times.

Dante Stebbins, 27, was arrested after being stopped by investigators last week in a parking lot on Backus Avenue and found to be in possession of marijuana. A later search of Stebbins' home resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana and a .45 caliber handgun.

Police say that Stebbins was in possession of more than one pound of marijuana, and his arrest came after an investigation by the department's Special Investigations Unit, according to the report.
