Blue Bird Estate Sales Donates Furniture To Housatonic ReStore
Housatonic Habitat For Humanity is partnering with the estate sale group to help unsold items find new homes.

Unsold estate items will find soon find a new home…Blue Bird Estate Sales, Ridgefield, is donating all of its post- sale items, to Housatonic Habitat’s Danbury ReStore, it was jointly announced by Blue Bird’s owner Dana Bucci and Fran Normann, Executive Director of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.

“Working with Habitat is a “feel good” all around decision,” says Bucci. “Usually, when I suggest to a client at the end of an estate sale that the unsold items be donated to Habitat to sell at their ReStore, the answer is always a resounding yes. Clients are thrilled to see their gently used furniture find a home where it is sold to benefit other families.”
Another advantage Bucci points out is that often after a sale she gets a call from a customer regretting not purchasing that armoire or game table and asking if it is still available…"Now I can direct them to the ReStore for a second chance purchase. And usually they end up buying more than one item because it is such a fun place to shop.”
