"Breakfast Of Giving" by Woman's Club of Danbury/ New Fairfield
Presentation of Grants by WCDNF
On April 25th at the Amber Room in Danbury, Ct., thirty-three grants were awarded to local charities by the Woman's Club of Danbury/ New Fairfield. Mary Ellen Ryer, chairperson of this year's event and Kathy Matusiak, president of the club, presided over the presentation of the many grants.

$16,500 of the money raised by "WCDNF" 's annual Poinsettia Sale was awarded at the club's annual "Celebration of Giving" ceremony.
Organizations represented a wide variety of interests. The Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life and Public Interests. Many groups were seeking upgrades to their computer/technology equipment. Other needs were structural improvements, assistance with food pantries, reading books for new bi-lingual families to read together, educating the abused, and looking to the future with organic gardening at Wesconn's Jane Goodall Program.

The recipients spoke of how the grant money will be used and gave special thanks to the kind and generous volunteer work that the Woman's Club of Danbury/ New Fairfield perform. The motto of the Woman's Club,"Sharing , Caring, and Giving" was truly exemplified at this celebration.
