Cadet Second Lieutenant Stillman appointed 399th Composite Squadron Cadet Commander
Cadet Noah Stillman appointed new cadet commander of Civil Air Patrol's 399th Composite Squadron in Danbury, Connecticut.

Cadet Second Lieutenant Noah Stillman of Danbury, Connecticut, accepted command of Civil Air Patrol’s 399th Composite Squadron Cadets at the unit’s Change of Command and Awards Ceremony held on January 17, 2017 at Danbury Municipal Airport. Major Joseph Bisnov, 399th Commander, presided over the ceremony and passed responsibility of cadet command to Stillman.
Stillman joined Civil Air Patrol in May 2012 and has served as squadron cadet flight sergeant, executive officer, Drug Demand Reduction Officer and cadet deputy commander. He’s also served on the Connecticut Wing Cadet Advisory Council (CAC) and attended the 2013 Camp Varnum Encampment in Narragansett, RI and three Connecticut Wing Encampments held at Camp Niantic from 2014-2016.
Stillman received Civil Air Patrol's Commander's Commendation Award from Connecticut Wing Commander, Colonel Ken Chapman, for his role in locating a missing three year old in North Carolina in April 2014. He promoted to second lieutenant and received the General Billy Mitchell Award in August 2016. The General Billy Mitchell Award is the second milestone in the cadet program that marks completion of the leadership phase. Only 15% of Civil Air Patrol cadets obtain the award, making them eligible for advanced placement to the grade of airman first class (E-3) should they choose to enter the United States Air Force.
