Car Fire Sets Nearby Building Ablaze: Danbury Firefighters

DANBURY, CT — A car ablaze in a parking lot caught an adjacent building on fire Wednesday afternoon, firefighters said.

The Danbury Fire Department responded to a call about the fire in the lot at 10 Federal Road only to find an active engine compartment fire extending to the passenger compartment and melting the siding of a nearby building.

"Crews quickly stretched an attack line cooling down the structure and extinguishing the fire," firefighters posted on social media.
