Case Continued for Danbury Teacher Accused of Sexual Assault
Mooney is also accused of distributing alcohol to a minor.

The case for Kayla Mooney, the Danbury teacher accused of sexual assault of a student has been continued to Aug. 26, the News Times reports.
Mooney made a brief court appearance Wednesday morning.

Mooney was charged in March with second-degree sexual assault and distributing alcohol to a minor.
According to the News Times, Mooney had been placed on administrative leave since Feb. 10. She was later fired for failing to maintain her certification.
