Chemo Pillows and Caps

Did you know that in September the educational system is not the only one to have Freshmen? Each fall a group of freshmen ladies join the Women's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield. The 2016 group decided upon a community project - the Danbury Hospital Cancer Center.

Fifteen ladies bonded, cut, snipped, sewed, ripped out, laughed, re-sewed and formed the beginnings of special friendships for the future. 100 Breast and Abdomen pillows were made first- due to their urgent need. 108 chemo caps followed in batches over the last five months as well.

This note of Thanks sums it all up:

"This is a note to say "Thank-you" for your time and talent. I received one of the caps you created for the cancer patients. I love it! You certainly brightened my day."
