Coronavirus Testing In Danbury Planned For Wednesdays In June

Test results are typically available in a few days.

DANBURY, CT—Residents interested in being tested for the coronavirus will have an opportunity to do so every Wednesday through June 24. Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. plans to hold multiple mass testing events at the Greater Danbury Community Health Center's rear parking lot.

GDCHC staff will collect the specimens. Test results are typically available in a few days (lab processing time varies). Follow-up telehealth visits are available for all those who wish to register with GDCHC as patients. GDCHC accepts all patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

The testing is done in collaboration with the state Department of Health.

When:

  • Wednesday, June 10, 8:30 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday, June 17, 8:30 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday, June 24, 8:30 a.m. to noon

WHERE: 120 Main Street, Danbury, rear parking lot.
WHO: Testing is open to all, regardless of symptoms or exposure, with prescreening included.
COST: Free testing; Photo ID is required; insurance card appreciated if available.
Uninsured patients also accepted.

Appointments are strongly encouraged and given priority due to limited testing swabs. Appointments will be given to the first 200 who call. Cars are not needed for testing, but patients walking to the site must make appointments. To make a testing appointment, call 203-456-1413.
