Crumbl Cookies to open store In Danbury. (Pro-Tip: Go for the milk chocolate chips...)

DANBURY, CT — Crumbl Cookies, a growing cookie brand that got its start in Utah and is known for its self-promotional videos released on TikTok, will be opening a stores in Danbury and North Haven in the next few months, the company confirmed Tuesday.

Franchise owners Justin and Scott Cinnamon said the Danbury store will open at 71 Newtown Road (Suite 5). It joins a plaza where a UPS Store and Planet Pizza currently stand. The North Haven Crumbl will open at 411 Universal Dr. N (Unit 209.)

The owners anticipate a mid-May opening for their Danbury site, according to a news release:

"We should have our grand opening date set probably within a week. Our North Haven location is still under construction and is projected to open middle to end of June."

Connecticut's first Crumbl location opened in December at Manchester's The Plaza at Buckland Hills, offering its treats for takeout delivery and curbside pickup options. Cookies are served in a signature oblong pink box, with gourmet flavors that rotate weekly.

The company has 5.1 million followers on TikTok, where it showcases its flavors. Four or five options are offered each week, with current options like warm chocolate chip, confetti cake with pink vanilla cream cheese frosting, original with peanut butter M&Ms, brownie batter, classic oatmeal and passion fruit.

Crumbl Cookies was founded by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, who now serve as CEO and COO. Their first location opened in 2017 in Logan, Utah and only served fresh milk chocolate chip cookies for takeout and delivery. The brand now has more than 422 bakeries in 43 states, according to the website.
