CT Photographer Captures Images of Teresa Giudice, Kim Kardashian and More

Alan Barry photographed Teresa Giudice last August, four months before the star was ordered to serve time at a Danbury prison.

Before donning an orange jumpsuit, Real Housewives star Teresa Giudice stood on her front porch wearing a silver dress and heels while being photographed by Danbury photographer Alan Barry.

Teresa Giudice reported to Danbury FCI prison on Monday to begin her 15-month sentence for mortgage and bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy. Her husband Joe Giudice was sentenced to a 41-month prison sentence and will start it when Teresa completes hers.

Alan Barry, owner of Danbury-based Alan Barry Photography, photographed Giudice before she was incarcerated, in August of 2014, for a marketing campaign at her home in New Jersey.

Barry, who began photography as a hobby, got his “big break” in the Hollywood scene in 2007 when a big-name photographer canceled at the last minute at MGM Grand at Foxwoods. His daughter worked as the Director of Marketing and called her father to fill in to photograph the grand opening of the casino.

“The tribe spent millions of dollars to fly in A-list celebrities, Barry explained, “and then their photographer canceled two days before the opening,” Barry said.

“The next day I was contacted by various publicists asking for copies of files for clients’ archives. All of the photos went to The Post, The Hollywood Reporter. I got photo credits that pros have never gotten,” Barry explained.

As word of mouth spread among A-listers, Barry’s phone began ringing off the hook and he has since had the opportunity to photograph many celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Alec Baldwin, P. Diddy, Michael Douglas, Jenny McCarthy, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and many more.

“There’s not much of a difference between working with regular people and celebrities. My job is to tell a story, and to leave them smiling. I will do whatever it takes.”

Barry said while he spent the entire day shooting Giudice and her family last summer, he has not spoken to her since they agreed on the final edits. “It didn’t feel right to talk to her about her legal issues. I can tell you that being there, with Joe, her kids and her mom, it was just like being in the show.”
