Danbury Buys 65 Acres of Land
The purchase of $700,000 was made through the city's conservation fund.

DANBURY — The city has purchased 65 acres of land a couple of miles south of Tarrywile Park on Long Ridge Road with an intent to preservefor hiking and open space.
The city plans to connect it to the 20-mile hiking and recreation path that stretches through Ridgefield, Danbury, Bethel and Redding.
The purchase of $700,000 was made through the city’s conservation fund. The property was owned by longtime Danbury resident Monique Wiedel.
