DANBURY, CT — Mayor Mark Boughton reported there were no more deaths in the city in the past 24 hours that were attributed to the new coronavirus, and 65 more confirmed cases were reported.

Boughton said that a "significant number of people have recovered" from COVID-19 in Danbury, and that he was working to get the exact number.

The mayor reiterated that he did not think that city schools would be back in session within their buildings before the fall term, but expressed optimism that some businesses would be able to open in some form by the middle of June.
