Danbury Dems Seek Candidates To Run In November

The city's Democratic Town Committee is looking for registered Democratic voters who may have an interest in serving Danbury.

DANBURY, CT – The city's Democratic Town Committee is looking for registered Democratic voters who may have an interest in serving Danbury and being on their ballot for the Nov. 2 election.

Positions are available for the City Council in various ward districts as well as the citywide Council-at-Large.

Other, volunteer, positions on the ballot may be available for the Zoning Commission, Board of Education, and constable.

City Council, Zoning Commission and constable terms are for two years, while members of the Board of Education serve for four years.

Candidate forms can be found on the Danbury Democrats website. Potential candidates may also forward their letter of interest with biographical information to PO Box 164, Danbury, CT 06813. The deadline for submission is Apr. 16.

The Democratic Town Committee will review all responses. Official party endorsement of all candidates is scheduled for their July meeting.
