Danbury Firefighters Rescue Ducklings from Storm Drain
The baby birds had gotten themselves into quite a pre-duck-ament while their mom watched in the bushes.
DANBURY, CT — On yet another variation of the old firefighters' trope of rescuing cats from trees, the Danbury Fire Department came to the rescue of some ducklings trapped in a storm drain.
On Thursday, the firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of George Street and Williams Street where the found the young birds, and their pre-duck-amint.
The firefighters were able to removing the top of the drain and dive in to retrieve the ducklings from the covert pipe.

"Mommy Duck was waiting nearby in a bush and was happy to be reunited with her babies!" firefighters reported on social media.
