Danbury Man Arrested on Felony Weapons Charges: Police
The man had previously been convicted of a felony.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man was arrested on numerous weapons charges after police stopped him with a loaded revolver in his vehicle Thursday, according to Danbury Police.
A caller told police that Victor Omar Fontanez, 26, was at a home on Montgomery Street with a handgun looking for someone. Officers later stopped Fontanez in his car and found a .38 revolver in the vehicle, according to police.
Fontanez did not provide a reason for being at the Montgomery Street home, according to police. The victims and witnesses were unfamiliar with him.

Police charged Fontanez with disorderly conduct (threatening), threatening in the first degree (with use of a firearm), carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit, weapons in vehicles and criminal possession of a pistol or revolver after he had been convicted of assault charges in 2009 and 2010, according to court records.

He was also charged with the criminal use of a firearm or electronic defense weapon, because he committed a Class C felony while in possession of the weapon.
Fontanez was held on $25,000 bond.
