Danbury Man Killed in Wrong-Way I-84 Accident: BREAKING

DANBURY, CT — A 40-year-old Danbury man was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 84 West in Danbury by Exit 3 just before midnight, according to State Police. Marcos E. Ramon Chillogalli, 40, of Pleasant Street, died at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Danbury Hospital suffering from injuries sustained in the accident.

Troop A out of Southbury is investigating the accident. State Police say their initial investigation reveals that Julio Mafort, 34, of Danbury was traveling on I-84 westbound in the area of Exit 3 when Chillogalli's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound in the westbound left lane of I-84, struck the front of Mafort's car causing significant damage.
