Danbury Man Sexually Assaulted Minor: PD

DANBURY, CT — A 19-year-old Danbury man was arrested after an officer noticed some suspicious activity and found that he had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old, according to police.

Officer Rodriguez was on patrol in the Franklin Street area March 4 when he saw a man and young female walk into a wooded area away from his view, police said in a press release.

Rodriguez found it suspicious and followed the two. He learned that Jose Morquecho-Saico had engaged in sexual activity with the victim.

Morquecho-Saico was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and fourth-degree sexual assault. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
