Danbury Man Struck Pole, Stone Wall and Several Mailboxes: Police
The man faces multiple charges.

DANBURY, CT — A local man was charged last week after police say he struck several structures in the area of Hayestown Road and Acre Drive, according to police.
Aires Carneiro, 57, is accused of striking a telephone pole, stone wall and several mailboxes before coming to a stop at around 1 a.m. on April 7. Police say a caller reported the incident, and that Carneiro failed standardized field sobriety tests.
He was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive upon right and evading responsibility.

He was released on a $2,500 bond.
