Danbury, New Fairfield Men Face DUI Charges In New York
One of them also faces bail-jumping and other charges.
New York State Police removed 18 impaired motorists from public roadways over the June 27 weekend. Among them were three Connecticut residents.
On June 26, troopers arrested Giordi Lebanidze, 46, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Lewisboro, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
On June 27, troopers arrested Frank M. Terzigni, 42, of New Fairfield, for DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree, Bail Jumping, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, all misdemeanors. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Patterson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Police alleged their investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, with a suspended license, an active warrant for a previous DWI arrest in the town of Southeast, and in possession of roughly 2 grams of cocaine.
