Danbury Police Log: Woman Beats Suspected Cheater, DUI
Danbury police reported several people charged with driving under the influence and a woman beating her boyfriend.

Danbury police charged Zoe Lozado, 43, of Prospect Ridge, Ridgefield, with third degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation following a fight on South Street at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said Lozado thought her male friend was cheating on her. She was taken to court after her arrest.
In a separate incident, Danbury police charged Michael Walker, 39, of Coal Pit Hill Road, Danbury, with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault following an incident Thursday at about 1 a.m.

Police said in the same incident, Jillian Roy, 37, of Park Avenue, Danbury, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, interfering with a police officer and assault on a police officer. Police said the pair were fighting at Roy's home. During the investigation, Roy was uncooperative, and she kicked a police officer in the leg. Both were held on $2,500 bonds.
In a separate incident, Danbury police charged Frederick Horton, 37 of West Whisconier Road, Brookfield, with driving under the influence and driving under suspension Friday after stopping him near White and Wildman streets.

Police said Horton was seen at about 1:30 a.m. driving erratically and when the stopped him, he smelled of alcohol and he failed a field sobriety test. He was released on a $1,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court Feb. 24.
In a separate incident, Danbury police charged Pascual Batista, 45, of Scuppo Road, Danbury, with driving under the influence, disobeying a control signal, failure to drive right and failure to carry a license Thursday.
Police said Batista was seen driving on the wrong side of the road on New Street and it was there police saw him drive through a red light. When he stopped, police smelled alcohol, and he failed a field sobriety test. He was held on a $500 bond.
In a separate incident, Danbury police charged John Wilson, 50, of Woods Road, New Fairfield, Thursday at about 6:40 p.m. with third degree assault and breach of peace after a Danbury woman’s complaint that Wilson pulled her out of her car while she was stopped in a line of traffic and he punched her in the chest while shouting obscenities at her. Police said this occurred on Route 37 near Stacy Road. Wilson was held on a $5,000 bond. Police said Wilson thought the woman had cut him off.
