Marcos was the focus of a weeks-long investigation related to drug sales from his residence at 41 Osborne Street and throughout the Danbury area. The investigation was initiated after investigators received citizen complaints regarding Marcos’ suspicious activity. Based on a further investigation, which corroborated the drug trafficking complaint, the Superior Court issued the search warrants.
Police established a surveillance of Marcos’s residence on Wednesday, and witnessed several suspected drug transactions. They apprehended one man, Ahmad Zahran, 22, of 5 Nabby Road, as he later waited in the drive-thru lane of a local restaurant.

At approximately the same time, police followed Marcos as he drove to a Main Street bank, where he was apprehended before entering. In the process of executing the court issued search warrants, Marcos was found to be in possession of several hundred dollars in U.S. currency, a substantial quantity of assorted illicit drugs and a “ghost” firearm and ammunition (.40 caliber pistol with no serial numbers). It was later determined that Marcos was living at his Osborne residence with his girlfriend and their 11-month-old common child, who were home when the search of the residence was conducted.
Based on the above findings, Marcos was placed under arrest and transported to the police department where he was processed and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell less than a half-ounce, possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a prohibited place, sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm and risk of injury to a child. He was held on $150,000 bond.
Zahran was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The Danbury Department of Children & Families was notified of the incident and responded to the residence to conduct a further investigation.
On Tuesday, Danbury police arrested Ryan Santos of New Milford, when he was about to make a transaction at a local bank.
