Danbury Readies For 3rd Black Lives Matter Protest

DANBURY, CT — The city will play host to its third march in support of the Black Likes Matter movement on Friday.

Organizers on social media are asking protesters to wear black, and a face covering, and meet on the Western Connecticut State University Quad at 11:00 a.m. for the noon march.

The march will start at the Science Building and proceed around campus, rain or shine.

Protests nationwide calling for an end to racial inequality and police brutality are in their second week, following the death of George Floyd while in the custody of the Minneapolis police.

Two previous Danbury marches each drew in excess of a thousand protesters.
