Danbury Teacher Accused of Sexual Assault Fired
The teacher will be arraigned on the charges against her on May 27.

The Danbury High School teacher charged with second-degree sexual assault is no longer an employee of the school, the Danbury News Times reports.
According to the paper, Kayla Mooney, 24, was fired because she failed to maintain her certification.
Mooney is also charged with distributing alcohol to a minor.

At her arraignment on Tuesday, her attorney asked for her arraignment to be postponed by a month. She will be arraigned May 27.
