Danbury: Trash Your Tree for Free

The City of Danbury will begin curbside tree pickups on Jan. 5, 2015.

The City of Danbury will begin their Christmas tree pick-ups on Monday, January 5, 2015. Danbury residents must place their live trees by their front curb for pick-up.

All decorations, tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands must be removed. No artificial trees will be picked up.

The City’s Highway Department will pick-up trees through January 30, weather permitting. There is no set schedule for the free pick-up and residents are asked to place their live trees curbside as close to January 5 as possible so trees can be picked up when the trucks are in your neighborhood.
