Danbury Woman Arrested for Shoplifting from Walmart, Found With Crack Paraphernalia: Police

Police say the woman was previously banned from the Walmart.

DANBURY, CT — A local woman arrested on a shoplifting charge in Danbury was later found to be in possession of crack paraphernalia, police say.

On Feb. 16 at 11:15 a.m., police responded to the Walmart on Newtown Road where Walmart's loss prevention had already detained the female suspect for stealing makeup. Store officials told police that the woman was already banned from the store.

While on the scene officers later found that the suspect had crack paraphernalia on them. Danbury Police then proceeded to arrest Christine Squires, 39, of Danbury on charges of criminal trespassing, larceny in the sixth degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was later released on a $500 bond.
